Radio Frequency

RF Skin Tightening

Radio Frequency skin tightening, or RF Skin Tightening, is a fantastic treatment for tightening loose or sagging skin on any area of the body to produce firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

Does RF Skin Tightening Really Work?

RF skin tightening works by generating heat and applying it to the epidermal and dermal layers of the skin. The heat causes tissue retraction, resulting in instantly tighter and firmer skin. It also works to stimulate collagen production which over time produces a more youthful-looking appearance.

Which Areas of the Body Can Radio Frequency Treat?

Radio frequency can effectively treat the entire body depending on your skin concern.

  • Tightens and lifts loose or sagging skin around the jowls, neck, chin, tummy and arms
  • Tightens, smooths, and improves facial skin tone to reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Firms ageing skin to produce a more youthful appearance

Does RF Skin Tightening Really Work?

The results of RF skin tightening can last anywhere from six months to 2 years, depending on individual skin types and conditions. Regular maintenance treatments can help prolong the effects. The longevity of radio frequency skin tightening results can also be influenced by factors such as lifestyle, age, and skin care routine.

How Many Sessions of RF Skin Tightening Are Needed?

This will all depend on your individual situation, and we will carefully assess this for you during your consultation. Some clients may only need 4 treatments, while others may require 6 or 8 to achieve brilliant results. Radio frequency skin tightening often yields the best results with a series of treatments spaced 1 week apart.

What Does the Treatment Feel Like?

RF skin tightening is a painless treatment, and most clients will experience zero discomfort. Some find the warm sensation relaxing, like a hot stone massage. The process of radio frequency skin tightening is designed to be comfortable and soothing.

Can I Get on with My Day After Treatment?

You sure can! Some clients may experience redness immediately post-treatment, but this typically subsides not long after treatment. As there is no downtime, you can get on with your day as usual after RF skin tightening. The convenience of radio frequency skin tightening means you can easily fit it into your busy schedule.

Results & Care

When Will I Start Seeing Results?

When it comes to the tightening and lifting effect of RF skin tightening, it can produce instant results. You will notice immediate improvements to your skin tone that will just get better with each session. The collagen remodelling aspect of radio frequency skin tightening takes a little more time, and you will reach full benefits of the collagen stimulation around 3 months after treatment.

Special Care Following Your Treatment

It is a good idea to avoid excess sun exposure and always apply sunscreen if going out into the sun post-treatment. Caring for your skin will ensure the beautiful results of your RF skin tightening treatments stay with you for a long time to come. Proper aftercare is essential to maintain the effects of radio frequency skin tightening. Please note, there are certain health conditions which are excluded from having this treatment. Please contact the clinic for further information.

Important news

New regulatory guidelines

Two of the main regulators (AHPRA and the TGA) have applied stricter rules around how cosmetic clinics advertise.

From March 7th 2024 it was clarified by the TGA that certain previously accepted methods of communicating with patients and marketing are now illegal.

Advertising prices of treatments is no longer allowed
Prices can of course still be discussed in person during your consultation, but they can’t be given over the phone, listed on a website or sent by email. Pricing must be quoted within the context of a consultation so that it is bespoke for your own needs.

Listing specific treatment areas is no longer allowed
New patients can now book in for a generic ‘New patient consultation’ and in person Courtney will explain what the best treatments are for your features. This helps avoid unrealistic expectations
